Gadarwada (Childhood and education upto higher secondary)

OSHO completed his higher secondary education in Gadarwada. He also experienced the predicted death in the old ruined Shiva temple at the age of fourteen. This town is very much aware of his intelligent playfulness which he was doing with the help of his friends. The river Shakkar is also here which was the integral part of his playfulness and learning.

The meeting and recognition by three enlightened mystics-Magga Baba, Pagal Baba and Masto Baba happened in this town.

OSHO lived here from 1939 to 1951 and then till 1970 He was coming here during Deepawali, summer and other vacations.
OSHO often stayed here for a few days during countrywide traveling while He was giving discourses and conducting meditation camps.

The old ruined Shiva temple, where OSHO experienced death at the age of fourteen, is now converted into Osho Leela Ashram, where daily meditation camps and all Osho celebrations are happening.
